About the World Assembly of Turkic People – WATP

 

 

WATP for today is the unique independent public organization, uniting all Turk nations of the world. The basic directions of her activity is a reconstruction, development of fundamental bases providing a Turkic unification, Turkic ways of social development allowing each Turk to have worthy life in the present and the future.

     WATP takes own beginning with I Congress of People of the East, holding in 1990. In Moscow which at the following stage began to refer to as Congress ATP.

Organizers of the first congress were Kazakh poet Olzhas Sulejmenov and other  public figure.

Since 1990 till 2007, 5 Congresses of Assembly of Turkic People (АТP) was carried out which was renamed into the World Assembly of Turkic People (WATP) later.

 

      II Congress АТP was held in 1991. In Kazan (in which the chairman of the organization the Kazan scientist and public figure Rafael' Muhametdinov was elected);
      III Congress АТP was held in 1993. In Cheboksary (the chairman representative of the Chuvash national movement Vyacheslav Timofeev was elected);
      IV Congress WATP was held in 1997. In Izmir (the chairman representative of Crimean-Tatar people Ilmir Umerov was elected);

      V Congress WATP was held in 2007.  In Shymkent-Kazakhstan (the president the Kazakh academician, the public figure and businessman Yermentay Sultanmurat was elected).

 

In total at the congresses (2nd, 3rd and 5th) 3 programs of WATP were accepted.
      1-st Program developed ideas of Turkic unity in a course of ant colonialism and anti-imperialism, in a course of struggle for the human rights, inextricably related with the right of the nation. Democracy and national freedom - two main postulates of this program. Religions the role protector and a stimulator of culture and morals were allocated.  АТP offered in the program the certain mechanisms on strengthening political, public and cultural communications between Turkic people.

      In 2-nd Program the section according to which Turkic people not should blindly and mechanical to spread at themselves democracy of the western sample was added and to create the Turkic model of democracy basing historical traditions Turk and Turkic mentality.  That the Turkic world was offered to secure itself against excessive influence as the West was new also, and the Islamic world to not appear only the instrument in their hands.

 

Turks were offered to be certain median world between these two civilizations and in geopolitics to play the independent role.  
      Developers and authors of the project of 1-st, and in many respect 2-nd Programs АТP were representatives of the Tatar national movement: Rafael Muhamedinov, Rashad Amirhanov, Rafael Hakimov and Rifat Sadykov. 

      In the beginning of XXI century the Turkic world has faced with a problem of creation of new ideology. Her creation is by no means not end in itself. It is necessary for Turks so in conditions of globalizing world to keep the original culture and identity. Turks should not be objects, and subjects of process globalization.
      No secret, that at the given stage really globalization is carried out under home nursing of the Western-Christian civilization, therefore, in order that globalization became multi-polar, Turks should represent a Turkic civilization.

 

Proceeding from changed political and social and economic conditions in the Turkic world, in 3^rd program the emphasis was made not on the political and geopolitics moments, but on spiritual - cultural and social and economic components pan- Turkism. In the project of the Program the following sections were submitted:

         1. A reconstruction and development common spiritual - world view bases of the Turkic world. This basis should be world view system (or philosophy), based on riches of Turkic language, folklore and art. It will be some kind of the decoded Turkic philosophy before Islam and the pre-Christian periods, read by language of XXI century. Without presence of such common spiritual basis the ideological unity of the Turkic world is impossible. (The Developer of the given part of the Program is Rafael Muhamedinov and group of his associates).
      2. Creating common Turk language "Ana Turk" as means of the cultural communication of the Turkic world (the Developer - Uzbek academician Bahtijar Karimov and of his colleague - representatives of Turkic people).

 

3. Creation of new public and social and economic model in the Turkic world. A saving exit from a today's crisis situation is the two-factorial model of market economy. It is for today is the most effective system of the organization activity enterprises and already developing in above hundred countries of the world. To her in many respects, obliged by the economic achievements China as well.  

      The essence of it is that as the proprietor and the worker one person acts. The desire of the proprietor and desire of the worker appear incorporated in one person and can be satisfied only through constant increase of economic efficiency of the enterprise. The economy basing the union of these two factors refers to as two-factorial model of market economy. When this model will be realized, then era of Turkic democracy will begin

  For today in structure of WATP functions the International institute of language Orta Turk-Ana Turk, the centers on a reconstruction and development of the common spiritual basis of Turkic people and on development Turkic ways of social development functions.

Alongside with these WATP takes active participation in public life of Turkic people. The special attention gives to maintenance of mutual understanding between Turkic people.

 Activity WATP was supported and continues to be supported on enthusiasm of Turkic patriots. The organization requires financial support.

Now WATP searches for sponsors for the publishing of two books:

1.  Turkism and pan Turkism (authors S. Chervonnaja etc.);

2.  The Turkic zone of the Eurasian stability (group of authors WATP).
